Projects typically involve application of intellectually rigorous methods to business and industry information to develop analytical models that include:

Describe your key business transactional experience:

Past president of Matrix Organization, a business incubator for women and minority-owed business. Experienced in liability estimation used in bankruptcy proceedings. Conducted more than two dozen due diligence studies for pending transactions. Extensive experience with economic and risk analyses required to value the potential long-term product or environmental liabilities. Experience with sophisticated uncertainty analysis and risk management strategies for the transactions including financial and insurance solutions. Additional extensive experience with economic analysis required to address antitrust and competition issues for pending or historical transactions.

What is the most important skill you bring to a corporate board?

Experience and advanced training focused on economics at the interface of science and technology. My attention to evidence-based analysis is particularly relevant to business, market development, and good management. My career as an expert economist disciplines my focus on hypothesis testing and rigorous analysis of complex issues. My skill set has served me well on nearly 20 advisory and technical review boards. I also led the board of a business incubator, which helped sharpen my focus on not only the business idea, but also the need for a business plan and financial discipline. My litigation support experience should be particularly helpful to companies addressing organizational and economic change under challenging circumstances. Many of my cases involve “bet the company” conditions which I think would serve companies focused on new technologies or innovation well.
