Describe your functional experience:

  • Responsible for all accounting operations and external financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, pricing and cost strategy, government audit compliance, facilities, procurement, and risk management for a $1.6 billion, 7,300 employee government services provider.  Manage all Treasury and cash management functions, including banking relationships and credit facilities.  .  Manage merger and acquisition program and assist with target analysis, due diligence, negotiations, and responsible for integration activities.  Responsible for Investor Relations activities.
  • Responsible for all corporate finance, accounting, business management, and pricing departments of a public $550 million, 2,800 employee government information technology and professional services contractor.  Involved in business development and cost strategies, strategic planning, corporate budgeting, indirect rate development, cash management, and internal and external financial reporting.  Served on the Fiduciary Committee for Company 401(k) plan and as a Trustee for company-funded non-profit foundation.  Helped lead company through successful initial public offering process and managed SEC reporting and investor relations post IPO.  Key participant in company’s merger and acquisition program, including initial assessment of targets, valuation analysis, due diligence, purchase agreement negotiations, and post-close integration.
  • Responsible for corporate accounting and finance functions for 2,400 employee, $235 million government and commercial information technology and telecommunications services firm.

Describe your key business transactional experience:

  • Took company through Initial Public Offering process, including SEC filings, roadshow participation, and IPO pricing decisions
  • Implemented Sarbanes-Oxley compliant system of Internal Controls with no reportable deficiencies
  • Responsible for Investor Relations and SEC Reporting for public companies
  • Responsible for financial management of two companies through rapid growth cycles (45 person, $2 million revenue to 2,400 person with $235 million revenue, and 200 person, $24 million revenue to a public company with over 2,800 staff and $550 million in revenue)
  • Play key role in valuation analysis, due diligence, negotiations and integration for over 20 acquisitions
  • Implemented ERP software solutions for CostPoint and PeopleSoft Financials
  • Responsible for obtaining and negotiating numerous lines of credit, largest of $500m; renegotiated bank debt structure, reducing annual interest expense by $240k per year
  • Implemented two automated budgeting and reporting systems to provide more accurate and timely data
  • Participated in development and roll-out of quality system which resulted in ISO 9000 certification
  • Helped company secure outside capital investment from Wall Street investment banker

Strong business acumen, excellent financial strategic thought leadership.  Meet the requirements for audit committee financial expert.  As the CFO of two public companies, I understand the relationships between management and the board.  Having managed companies through fast growth cycles as well as through significant downturns, have broad experience to assist companies at all stages.
